I totally neglected Qui-Gon in my comment!

I sure hope that neither you nor he feels slighted by the focus on that which bears his image! There is so much expression there!

So, is he available?

Umm . . . I mean . . . he measures 2.5 x 3.5 . . . he could fit on an LTC . . . *sigh*Mama Cachehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05526427992300959421noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5119257284103151750.post-8578228772107126562010-03-17T10:50:58.959-07:002010-03-17T10:50:58.959-07:00I'm one of those needle carvers who thinks the...I'm one of those needle carvers who thinks the little carved bits have a strong affinity for their original position. (Hey, I don't like change either!) ;-)

However, I really like the way Firm Kut carves and stamps. The texture of the material allows for super- smooth carved edges, and finer-than-hair slivers can be trimmed away. Sweet!

It's a great product, certainly my product of choice for gouge carving.

I am also determined to tweak my own technique until I can find a way to remove the bits I've cut away more easily.Mama Cachehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05526427992300959421noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5119257284103151750.post-21623448808037568842010-03-17T09:54:51.598-07:002010-03-17T09:54:51.598-07:00Er... that should be 'knife and needle carvers...Er... that should be 'knife and needle carvers'. Formula tweaks to try and address this issue are in process, while trying to keep the nice feel for gouge carvers. We'll see how those efforts progress!

In the meantime, may I borrow your light saber to cut the big sheets into blocks?? Or maybe you could come to my house with a team of Jedi knights for a slicing party! I think that may be the ultimate solution, don't you? :)

WebfootWebfoothttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14325420146709784342noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5119257284103151750.post-3969889416402776212010-03-17T09:31:48.174-07:002010-03-17T09:31:48.174-07:00MJ, when you are done, I'd love to see your ef...MJ, when you are done, I'd love to see your efforts :-)Liz Henderson (Hendel D'bu)https://www.blogger.com/profile/04633416677421015136noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5119257284103151750.post-91754100811017935472010-03-17T09:13:14.377-07:002010-03-17T09:13:14.377-07:00Thank you Liz for posting this. I am pleased with my results so far. Hope to have it done soon so I can do some stamping. : )
Ona Journey-MJAnonymousnoreply@blogger.com
