Ink Brands - a Review, Part I
So, we've finished the poll about ink.
We had 35 experienced ink-users respond to our little poll. In the poll, you could vote for as many inks as you preferred, and here are the results:
Marvy Markers - 13 votes
Colorbox Pigment - 12 votes
StazOn Permanent - 10 votes
Brilliance Pigment - 6 votes
VersaMark Watermark - 5 votes
Distress Dye - 4 votes
VersaColor Pigment - 4 votes
Memories Dye - 4 votes
Rubber Stampede Dye - 3 votes
Kaleidacolor Dye - 3 votes
Stampin' Up - 2 votes
Adirondack Dye - 2 votes
ColorBox Chalk - 2 votes
Vivid Dye - 1 vote
Marvy Matchables/Heritage - 1 vote
Encore Pigment - 1 vote
VersaMagic - 1 vote
Any store brand will do - 1 vote
Archive Waterproof -0 votes
Fresh Ink - 0 votes
Fiskars - 0 votes
Palette Hybrid - 0 votes
Other - 7 votes
Interesting results, to be sure. For those inks that got no votes, it could be because they are difficult to use (Fiskars) or it could be that not a lot of our voters have given them a try. For example, I like the Palette Hybrid ink, but it's not a favorite so I didn't give it a vote.
Also, voting depends greatly on how you are using the ink. For example, we really like the little Rubber Stampede dye inks on the trail because of their size and bold colors. For LTCs, I really like the black StazOn for those projects that you need strong, consistent stampings.
For those that voted 'Other', would you please let me know in the comments section what is your favorite? I'm very interested in adding your review to our ink list (Part II).
I'd love to hear your comments and opinions on your inks of choice!

I find myself using my VersaMagic Chalk inks a lot lately. I like the flat finish. It works better in some applications than the usual shinniness.

Exclusive Inks, by Close To My Heart, are fantastic inks to use. I also like the Adirondack Pigment inks, and the Stampin' Up markers. All of which are not on your list. :)
Thank you, GJ, I'll get them added right away (to Part II).
I am going to play with Ancient Page some more. What an odd ink pad! But, so far, I like it.
My standard, on the trail ink pad is the Impress Jet Black pad by Tsukineko, which I purchased from Webfoot, along with the reinker.
I love the Ancient Page inks and have used them for quite awhile. The black is my go-to for a sharp image.
I like the Impress markers that I also got from Webfoot. I haven't tried the stamp pads.
The Spooky Group
PaperTreyink.com has Palette inks and they are Hybrid. They also have their own special colors..."Perfect Match" and they too are Hybrid ink. Just thought I would pass that on to you...

Thanks, Ketha, for the tip - I have tried the Palette ink and really like it, but have not heard of the Perfect Match ink - I'll have to check it out. :-)
