The Language of Lines

I appreciate good design; simple lines that are aesthetically pleasing...well put together, you could say. When I stumble upon images that catch my eye, I'm just compelled to carve them.

Sometimes the question is posed, "do you find the image and plan a project around it, or plan the project and then search for the image?" Well, I say "yes and yes!" Both these carvings were 'just because' images. The Swans were made into an LTC single (long since retired), and the flowers were for that floral series that never got planted.

You know how I like to scale those "tinies" back down to true size - I enjoyed looking at these.
