The somewhat-famous Greetings stamp

I cannot remember know how long ago I carved this stamp, but it sure has gotten a lot of mileage! I remember carving it at our kitchen table, while my husband fixed dinner and my children were all around...the usual bustle of the family gathered in the kitchen, and me with my face jammed into my magnifying lamp.

It measures 2.5" x 1" and is carved on PZ Kut orange grade B, with a Staedler gouge.

Don't let anyone tell you what you can and cannot do with your carving...find out for yourself. You may be surprised.

I always am.

This was the first stamp I ever saw that was carved with such tiny detail. I remember thinking, "I wonder if she takes orders." ;-)

Your final analysis ought to be bookmarked by all. I am quite sure it will come in handy as a reference.
