Charmed

stamp size(s): bracelet 2", charms all under 1"

Here's a fun set of stamps from the past. It was a postal for a ring featuring charms...I know, a strange subject matter for me, to be sure. But the idea intrigued me, and I immediately knew I wanted to carve a charm bracelet. Who is not fascinated by all those cute, tiny charms you see in gift stores while on vacation?

The next thing was which charms to carve...?? I decided on (L to R) a celtic heart, a sweet moon, the good luck charm carved by Anakin for Padme, a four-leaf clover, a bright sun, a star of David, one of the cherubim from the top of the Ark of the Covenant, a skeleton key, a flower (that's supposed to be a magnolia), Qui-Gon's lightsaber, and (everyone's favorite) a butterfly.

All the stamps, including the name of the postal (How Charming!) went in a little blue velvet bag with a ribbon tie - too much fun!!

I have carved another charm bracelet similar to this one; it lives in NY and features state symbols as the charms.

I love tiny stamps...don't you??

Very cute! And now is the perfect time to carve tiny, what with the PZ shortage and all.

They are quite charming. I do love tiny stamps . . . I love tiny things, period.

Picturing them all in the velvet bag is particularly cool.

I remember you doing all those! Love the mix of images from Jewish to Star Wars! :o)

I remember when I first saw this charm bracelet. I think it is so cool and intricate. It inspired me to make my charmbow.
