A stamp for Caleb
This stamp was created for a good friend who is interested in letterboxing. He knows enough about 'boxing to know he needs a sig-stamp, so he asked me to carve one for him (he has no interest in carving himself). He posed and had me take his pic for the stamp. I'm not so sure about the pic or the stamp, to be honest.
What do you think?
So, this is a good example of 'not all stamps have the wow-factor', huh?
His chosen trailname is the Jew Hammer (obviously). He acquired the handle in his travels following the String Cheese Incident across the country. (For the unenlightened, 'the Cheese' is a band whose music is strongly influenced by bluegrass sounds, as well as forays into rock, calypso, country, funk, jazz, Latin, reggae, and occasional psychedelia.) You could say it's kind of a hippie-thing...
It is most appropriate that I carved his stamp yesterday, as it was also his birthday.
(stamp size 2" x 2.5")

ummmm Beauty is in the eye of the beholder.
For a difficult subject matter, I think you tackled it quite well.
How does he like it? That's the question.
He hasn't seen it yet... :-/
Your carvings never cease to amaze me.
It makes me laugh as it's so Caleb! Excellent job, my friend! :o)
He looks like a funny guy and your stamp does him justice! Hope he likes it and boxing too.
I think it's great! A sig stamp should BE the person it represents. If this is Caleb then it's absolutely perfect. :-)
UPDATE: Gave Caleb his stamp yesterday - he LOVED it! And his sweet girlfriend did, too! He wanted to get an ink pad and try it out right away *smile*
They are going to begin letterboxing soon :-)
