Just takin' the good part...
Well, it doesn't happen to me often, but it did last Shabbat during our time carving. I spent quite a bit of time carving my favorite trumpet player, only to be unhappy with the result. When this happens, there is only one thing to do...hack it up!
Yeah, it was tough, but I cut out the part that was salvageable and tossed the rest. *sigh* Gosh, I hate that when that happens! But, I was left with a stamp that I will be able to plant as a traditional (bonus!) and will give my original image another try. However, I don't think I'll carve it at shul as it's pretty distracting, as you can probably imagine. Some images just require all of your attention. *shrug*
Figures this would happen when we are in the middle of a PZKut drought. Aaaack!

Ouch.
You have mastered those curves and lines -- this stamp is awesome! I know it hurt when you had to remove the rest. I'm sorry.
Thanks for sharing this.
I'm glad you could salvage some! It makes a great traditional - especially where you planted it! :o)
What an inspiration. I'm looking to find or make stamps and ink pads to us to print on fabric. Your creations and blog are super!
