School Itty-Bitties

I haven't been to the mall much this summer, but I bet it is all a-buzz with 'back to school' sales. I know WalMart has all their school supply stuff front and center and the ads that fill my mailbox all want to remind me that the school year is about to start.

So, to keep up with the hype, how 'bout some school-themed itties. And what screams school more than books, I ask? Itty-Bitty books at just under an inch, to be precise.

And an apple for the teacher...hey, that's me! We are a homeschooling family, so I teach everyone. Most of the time, though, we all learn together. *smile*

I was told that the students in public school don't say the Pledge of Allegiance anymore...is this true? Hard to believe, that is. I suppose since it contains the words 'under G-d', some folks would take issue with that. Hmmm...do I even remember it?

I pledge allegiance to the flag
of the United States of America
and to the Republic for which it stands
one nation,
under G-d,
indivisible,
with liberty and justice for all.

I guess so.

Students still say the pledge in Virginia Beach! I know, I'm a teacher. :)

All of the schools I either teach at or substitute teach at still say the Pledge. :-)

They're so cute! I remember when I'd get an apple on my desk from a student and all the hype of 'new' supplies and clothes.:o)
