The Logo Project

I have been asked to head up a project for our local group of Jedi costumers. After much thought, and prayer, I came up with the first shot at the target. Our 'Jedi Temple' is called the Temple of the Rains, and is a formal temple of the Rebel Legion's Alpha Base, located here in the PNW. My thought was that the raindrop 'sparkle' and the lightsaber 'burst' would coincide, but I'm not sure if that is possible. I do like this first try, though.

Thoughts? What do you think would make it look better, more eye-catching? I'd love to hear your comments and ideas!

I think the sparkle and burst would work if the rain drop was more off set (so that the sparkle was more on the left edge of the drop).
Also, if you want non-Jedi people (what exactly do you call the unenlightened?) to know that is a light saber, you might want to show more of it. At first glance, it could be mistaken for a candle.
But I think you're on the right track!
Is this going to be a patch or stamp or something else?

Thanks for the input, Stacy!

Not sure this is for non-Jedi (non-Force Users? I'm not sure if there is a name or not) - really the target audience is those of us costumers. I like your suggestions, though and will play with the design further.

The logo will be featured on everything associated with the Temple - on the Rebel Legion website and on patches, pins, etc. (eventually, anyway).

I love how you pulled together so many elements to design this; composition comes so naturally for you.

Sure wish I knew more about how this goes from sketch to final design; it would answer most if not all of my little questions.

When you make changes, I hope they're not big ones. This is quite nice.

I love this design, my friend - it captures our lovely PNW very well. I like Stacy's ideas.
